Numerous studies show that kids who don’t engage in academics during summer vacation actually "slip" when autumn rolls around. So what can we do to avoid this common problem? Students will continue to have access to the IM website all summer in case they want to review last year’s work before advancing a grade level. IN ADDITION, IXL will be accessible all summer for skills reinforcement AND enrichment.
Finally, due to our unusual and unprecedented school year with COVID-19, the Del Mar Math teachers have included a math review packet for EACH grade level. Although not required, it is HIGHLY recommended that students complete this grade-level review over the summer in order to enter next school year prepared and on the right foot!
